Family Transfers Outnumber Priced Sales in Rochester's Latest Deed Recordings
Rochester recorded eight property deeds between Aug. 21 and Sept. 19. Four carried a sale price, ranging from $375 to $859 with a median of $787; the other four, including transfers on Snipatuit Road, Bennett Road, Springwood Drive and Forbes Road, have no price on file yet. The month's top recorded sale was 28 Marion Road at $859, followed by 247 Braley Hill Road at $855. Bennett Road saw two separate transactions. Four of the eight transfers appear to move property within the same family or into a trust rather than to a new buyer. With pricing available for only half the period's deeds, the data offers limited basis for judging overall market conditions.
